In fact, it is difficult to stop it from holding and carrying things, being part of its nature and breeding. Originally, they were used for fishing, carrying nets and retrieving escaped fish. Made in solid foundry bronze by the age-old lost wax casting process, patination follows, with acids and heat applied to the surface by hand to build up a deep, rich brown finish, and finally sealed with a special wax, which protects the bronze and preserves its colour for years to come.
