French Bull Dog Butler & Peach Miniature Bronze Sculpture

Small, sturdy and famously bat-eared, the French Bulldog has gone from Nottingham lace workers' companion to one of the most recognisable breeds around. Playful, affectionate and not much of a barker, it's as at home on a lap as it is trotting round the garden.

Cast in solid foundry bronze using the traditional lost wax method, the finish is then built up through patination, acids and heat worked into the bronze to create a deep, rich brown colour, and finally sealed with a special wax, which protects the bronze and preserves its colour for years to come.
