This beautiful miniature captures the moment when three hares might dance, usually in moonlight, or at dusk. Images of three hares can be found in sacred sites throughout the Middle East and the Far East, and in Christian Churches, they represent the Trinity. For others, they represent a moment in time that few are lucky enough to see in the natural world.

This piece is cast in solid foundry bronze, using the lost wax technique that has been practised for centuries, before the surface is worked through patination, acids and heat applied by hand for a deep, rich brown finish, and finally sealed with a special wax, which protects the bronze and preserves its colour for years to come.
