Palo santo is a wood, burned like incense. A broom guard is a small figure that hangs on a broom handle; in folklore a broom by the door was said to keep unwelcome visitors out. We keep the folklore as folklore, with both feet on the shop floor and the broom by the door.

The incense shelf has Satya boxes at £1.50, with dozens of scents. Nag champa is the best-known Satya scent, and the boxes sit neatly together like a little library of fragrance names.
